Zinc is a light gray, shiny diamagnetic transition metal with a relatively low melting point (419.5°C) and boiling point (90). The metal is hard and fragile at most temperatures, but it is malleable between 100 and 150°C. Above 210°C, the metal becomes brittle again and can be crushed by grinding.
